Surface Compatibility and Resistance of Linear Shafts

Our shafts undergo hard chrome plating, high-frequency induction hardening, or electroless nickel plating to meet your durability needs:

  • Hard Chrome Plating: 20–25μm layer, 900+ HV hardness

  • Induction Hardened Shaft: Surface HRC58–65, core toughness retained

FAQ

Q1: What’s the difference between a hardened shaft and a chrome plated shaft?
A: Hardened shafts have high surface strength through heat treatment, while chrome plated shafts add corrosion resistance and reduce friction. Most of our shafts are both hardened and plated.

Q2: Can I get a custom linear shaft with end machining?
A: Yes. We provide OEM linear shafts with custom end machining, including tapped holes, circlip grooves, flat milling, and threading.

Q3: What tolerances do your shafts support?
A: Standard tolerance is g6/h6, but we can offer h7, h8 or customized based on application. For precision linear shafting, straightness can be < 0.02mm per 300mm.

Q4: What is the maximum length you can manufacture?
A: For most shaft types, we support up to 1500mm in a single piece. For longer shafts, we can offer coupling solutions.

Q5: What is the MOQ for linear shafts?
A: We support low MOQ orders, even as low as 5 pieces for stock models. For special customization, MOQ may vary.

Q6: Do your shafts fit standard linear bearings?
A: Yes. Our shafts are compatible with LM and LME series bearings (e.g. LM10UU, LMK12UU), and precision linear motion systems.

Q7: What materials are available?
A: GCr15 (SUJ2), 9Cr18 (SUS440C), S45C. Stainless types are best for corrosion resistance; carbon steel types are ideal for high-load and cost-sensitive projects.

Q8: Can you ship internationally?
